About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with clients, families, and significant others to develop person-centered treatment plans
- Screen and assess clients for co-occurring substance use disorders through interdisciplinary assessment
- Advocate and liaise for clients within the criminal justice and shelter systems
- Assist clients in securing medical care, entitlements, and community supports
- Provide or connect clients with employment counseling, vocational rehabilitation, housing applications and placement, and life-skills training
- Provide individual counseling using Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment principles, as appropriate
- Complete timely progress notes and assessments in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with hospitals, shelters, jails, primary care providers, and other external stakeholders
- Provide strengths-based, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive services
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least two years of experience working with adults who have needs in mental health, substance use, trauma, violence risk, homelessness, frequent psychiatric hospitalizations, and criminal-justice involvement
- Strong commitment to social justice and the CASES mission
- Previous use of an electronic health record; Footholds AWARDS preferred
- Experience in a multidisciplinary setting and field-based clinical work preferred
- Bilingual English and fluency in Spanish a plus
- Individuals with lived experience are encouraged to apply
