About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate collection of monitoring, evaluation and learning information, including event feedback, learning circle responses and grant evaluations
  • Support the Programme Manager with monitoring, evaluation and decision-making
  • Support drawdown of programme finances and process payments for small grants
  • Provide flexible administrative support for additional projects and priorities
  • Coordinate team administration with the Executive Assistant and support strategic priorities
  • Provide administrative support to Mission Enablers
  • Organise prayer meetings, learning community gatherings and residential events
  • Manage travel and expense claims in line with organisational procedures
  • Assist with internal and external communications and the team’s digital communications
  • Support the Intercultural Mission Enabler with administrative duties and event organisation
  • Work with the intercultural mission sub-team to deliver further learning and partnership
  • Assist with reporting and evaluation related to partnership work with the Racial Justice Unit

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships across a range of contexts
  • Interest in, and sympathy for, the work of the Church of England and its vision to develop new worshipping communities in the North
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines
  • Confidence in organising meetings, events and communications involving multiple stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of IT and experience using Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Ability to handle confidential data sensitively and with discretion
  • Experience providing high-quality administrative support within a busy and complex environment
  • Confidence maintaining and collating data and producing accurate information for reporting
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a distributed team
  • Occasional travel to offsite meetings and events
  • Desirable: experience supporting networks, learning communities or partnership projects
  • Desirable: experience working sensitively and effectively across cultures, traditions or contexts
  • Desirable: experience coordinating events, conferences or training programmes
  • Desirable: familiarity with financial administration processes such as expense management and budget monitoring
