About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Intake translation and interpretation requests
- Scope and cost translation and interpretation projects
- Create translation and interpretation orders
- Collaborate daily with product management and production teams within the Communication and Publishing Department and, as needed, with other team members and Area departments concerning localisation elements of publishing and communication products
- Coordinate translation, language production, interpretation, and text editing services
- Deliver completed localised assets to Production or other clients as requested
- Maintain project lists and dashboards and monitor workflows
- Cooperate with the Localisation Project Management Group at Church Headquarters on global Church products
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Area Translation Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong commitment to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its mission
- Career jumpers welcome, if broader qualifications are met
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 5 years of work experience in translation, interpretation, localisation project management, comparable project management disciplines, or related fields; alternatively, a combination of education and experience totaling 9 years
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
- Proficiency in a second language may be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully across language and cultural boundaries
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in industry standard project and translation management tools
- Passion for high levels of customer service
- Advanced knowledge of standard information processing and publishing tools
- AI and automation affinity
