Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university, or have recently finished a degree from an accredited college or university within one year of beginning the internship
  • Must be available for video interviews if selected as a finalist
  • At least one semester of college-level editing or writing experience
  • Strong writing, revising, copyediting, and proofreading skills
  • Sound understanding of Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy
  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Careful attention to detail, sustained concentration, and highest level of accuracy
  • Ability to work well with people and present an image of professionalism
  • Video production experience
  • Social media skills
  • Cover letter required
  • Resume including a link to a digital portfolio required
  • Digital portfolio must include writing and editing samples
  • Writing samples should demonstrate ability to write for a children’s audience
  • Include a sample story written in the style of the Friend magazine
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
