About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review and approve PEF disbursements in the Welfare and Self-Reliance systems as the first or second level approver
- Examine and verify that proper forms and information are attached to payment requests
- Safeguard PEF program funds from abuse and fraud
- Follow disbursement review procedures that vary by area and country, ranging from simple to complex
- Analyze and resolve difficult PEF questions from participants and leaders across multiple countries
- Escalate only the most difficult issues
- Identify and report system issues based on user feedback
- Communicate with participants about questions and disbursement issues through chat, email, and occasional phone calls
- Identify and escalate undocumented process variances related to disbursement approvals, chat support, and case work
- Work independently under limited supervision
- Meet timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy metrics
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma
- 3 years of related experience in customer service, payment/contract analysis and processing, and/or post high school education
- Ability to become a PEF subject matter expert
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential matters involving participants' personal finances
- High proficiency in computer databases and applications
- Ability to work at a computer station for extended periods of time
- Ability to meet physical requirements such as sitting for long periods and using computer monitors/equipment
- Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in English with Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
