About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the initial point of contact for customers via telephone, email, or live chat
  • Provide technical support for hardware, systems, sub-systems, applications, and policies and procedures
  • Assist customers with navigating application menus and remotely access customer computers when required
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues for remote employees on corporate or Local Unit networks
  • Develop and sustain productive customer relationships, prioritizing customer needs
  • Offer alternative solutions where appropriate
  • Record all customer contact information in the CRM system
  • Escalate complex problems to the Global Tech Support Specialist when appropriate
  • Perform work under general supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish is required
  • 0 to 2 years previous computer technical support
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, Church meetinghouse technology, and network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, locating IP or TCP/IP addresses, VPN software, and supporting remote users of Active Directory to unlock and reset passwords
  • Proficient with troubleshooting all Windows operating systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Outstanding customer skills, with the ability to empathize and professionally troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
  • Must live close to the office based in Riverton, Utah, USA
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
