About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze accounting data sources from banks, credit card processors, and Church systems throughout the world
Develop, improve, maintain, document, and operate automated processes that post transactions to the Church general ledger
Reconcile transactions to ensure posting accuracy and integrity
Create operational reports or dashboards monitoring posting and reconciliation issues
Resolve questions and issues arising from operation of automated processes
Prepare and analyze budgets and financial statements using operating statements, account ledgers, work order reports, project tracking systems, and other information
Support a large, complex unit or division of a department
Anticipate future needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Management
CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
Emphasis in data analysis preferred
5 to 8 years of accounting, business management, or equivalent experience
Experience in data analysis is essential
Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office software
Advanced proficiency with SQL and data formatting tools such as Power BI
Ability to use AI to solve daily business issues and coding problems
Experience automating business processes through Microsoft Power Automate
Ability to learn new software
Continual self-directed learning
Passion for continual process improvement and problem solving
Ability to discuss and resolve difficult issues with people at all levels and geographic locations
Foreign language skills helpful but not essential
Must currently be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be willing to physically reside and perform the work in Riverton, Utah
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
Must live close enough to work in the Riverton, UT office at least once a week or more depending on business needs
