About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support recruiting and hiring activities, including applicant communication, interview scheduling, and hiring processes
- Assist with onboarding and employee transitions
- Respond to employee and applicant questions in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner
- Review and maintain HR records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Handle confidential employee information with discretion and sound judgment
- Assist with special projects, events, and process improvement initiatives
- Support HR team goals through collaboration, effective communication, and reliable execution
- Complete assigned tasks and projects accurately and timely
- Provide responsive support to employees, managers, and applicants

Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled at a Church Educational System institution: BYU, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii, Ensign College, or BYU-Pathway Worldwide
- Reside in Utah
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Available to work up to 20 hours per week during Monday–Friday business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Available for 2–4 in-office days per week, Monday through Thursday
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Professionalism, reliability, and accountability
- Customer-service mindset and genuine desire to help others
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Initiative and willingness to learn new skills and systems
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
- Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
