About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Counsel local unit leaders and recommend accounting, finance, and budget solutions adhering to Church policies and procedures
  • Train leaders on financial processes, procedures, and Church financial and membership data systems
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for customers worldwide regarding financial support of systems, policies, and procedures
  • Complete high-dollar disbursement reviews and monitor proper use of local unit funds
  • Monitor and approve electronic funds transfers above system thresholds
  • Review local unit card limit increases and cash-on-hand card discrepancies, escalating suspected misuse of funds
  • Resolve overdrawn budget charges and outstanding accounting and banking transactions
  • Enter and approve financial records in the Church unit banking system sub-ledger (CUBS)
  • Maintain process documentation
  • Analyze process variances and errors and take corrective action
  • Resolve routine questions and problems independently and escalate complex issues
  • Use AI and automation technology
  • Meet quality, timeliness, and efficiency metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma
  • 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Ability to understand and adapt financial policies and procedures in a complex and global environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • High proficiency in office software and computer applications
  • Ability to work at a computer station for long periods of time
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking both Spanish and English
  • Ability to provide technical support in both Spanish and English in a fast-paced contact environment
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
