About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and execute the overall vision of the magazine across print and digital channels
  • Lead complex projects and oversee designers through leadership and decision-making
  • Provide feedback on content throughout the publishing process and oversee design work
  • Build relationships with service providers, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Develop design concepts that solve business and communication objectives
  • Lead or participate in overall design, visuals, graphics, and strategy for digital and print products
  • Write creative briefs and communicate vision, strategy, and messaging goals to contracted vendors
  • Oversee enterprise brand and style guide application while maintaining global brand standards
  • Interpret business needs, research, and policy requirements within multilevel approval structures
  • Maintain quality, creative standards, and schedules across global operations
  • Present recommended ideas, concepts, and final products to executives and project teams
  • Evaluate product analytics to identify worldwide audience needs and develop short- and long-term product strategies
  • Manage employees and recommend advancement, promotion, or changes in employee status in partnership with HR

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Eight years of design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior design role
  • Professional portfolio demonstrating strong typography, grid systems, long and short form layouts, and dynamic digital/social campaigns; portfolio link required
  • Demonstrated people management leading content design teams
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in Adobe Premier, AfterEffects, and Figma is a plus
  • Versatility in design across print, web, mobile, video, and social media
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to aggregate and distill information from various sources, write design proposals and plans, and give presentations to executive leaders and project teams
  • Competency across all aspects of a design project's development and progress
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, multiple departments, and policy governance stewards
  • Ability to lead new projects with little detailed direction
  • Ability to meet physical requirements such as sitting for long periods and using computer monitors/equipment
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
