About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure assigned products drive intended business outcomes for BYU-Pathway’s strategic priorities
  • Develop a deep understanding of BYU-Pathway’s business strategy and customer needs
  • Reduce friction, delight customers, and improve customer experience
  • Perform product lifecycle activities including strategy, discovery, planning, prioritization, development guidance, roadmaps, stakeholder alignment, measurement, and reporting
  • Mentor less-experienced product managers
  • Lead cross-functional product councils and align business needs with product plans and resources
  • Partner with development teams to deliver new product features effectively and efficiently
  • Manage and track the annual product budget
  • Identify, measure, and report key product metrics
  • Monitor product alternatives, industry trends, and best practices
  • Manage expectations through transparent communication and collaboration
  • Document product artifacts including roadmaps, requirements, and backlog
  • Drive execution and eliminate delivery bottlenecks
  • Build trust through relationships, precise execution, and keeping commitments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ year successful track record in technology product management
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience managing and developing enterprise applications
  • Proven experience shaping product strategy, writing requirements, creating roadmaps, and prioritizing work for development
  • Experience managing a significant product budget
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Extensive experience managing expectations of senior leaders, stakeholders, and customers
  • Fluency using product management tools and frameworks
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Higher education systems experience, such as SIS, LMS, or CRM, preferred
  • Formal product management training and/or certifications preferred
  • Experience delivering products for disadvantaged populations in global markets preferred
