About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain enterprise messaging frameworks and message hierarchies
- Draft communication briefs providing departments, areas, and vendors with clear strategic direction
- Support integrated messaging strategy and alignment across the organization
- Manage enterprise communication plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, approvals, and delivery
- Maintain project plans, schedules, and trackers; monitor progress and flag risks, delays, and resource needs early
- Coordinate contributors across departments, areas, and vendors, including meetings, decisions, action items, and follow-through
- Support vendor and agency work, including briefing, feedback, timeline and budget tracking, and quality review
- Help define success measures, assess outcomes, and turn findings into recommendations
- Support social media creative and content strategy efforts for the Salt Lake Temple Celebration in 2027
- Help departments and areas deliver the Church’s core experience consistently across products, events, and communications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least five years of communication experience, including large-scale projects in communication, branding, or marketing
- At least five years of strategic planning experience in or for a complex organization
- Experience developing messaging strategy for multi-audience, multi-platform work
- At least five years of hands-on project management experience coordinating contributors, timelines, and deliverables
- Experience working with external agencies or vendors from brief through delivery
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, business, branding, advertising, marketing, project management, or a related field—or equivalent experience
- Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
- Strong project management skills, including planning, sequencing, tracking, and driving work to completion
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to anticipate dependencies and risks and raise them early with clear options
- Ability to build message architecture and maintain consistency across audiences, cultures, and platforms
- Analytical, solution-oriented, resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity
