About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Training Office Coordinator for the In-Field Preach My Gospel Training for New Missionaries team
  • Coordinate interviewing and hiring of applicants
  • Schedule and support the onboarding process
  • Organize reports, projections, and statistical data to forecast area needs
  • Track employee tenure and schedule performance review meetings during eligible time frames
  • Coordinate semester shift assignments
  • Coordinate district, companionship, and classroom assignments
  • Update MTC Tools according to assignments
  • Handle unique missionary needs involving scheduling, training, medical/clinical matters, and travel
  • Field phone calls and emails from staff in the area
  • Maintain and update the team webpage
  • Potentially lead and direct employees, service missionaries, and/or volunteers
  • Create, modify, and improve curriculum resources
  • Assist with the area substitution process and track undesirable behavior patterns
  • Generate teacher performance reports with the supervisor
  • Potentially assess proficiency levels of missionaries and teacher applicants in the target language
  • Potentially teach missionaries as an MTC Teacher, as hours allow
  • Perform other temporary MTC duties, such as assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
  • Confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking and process design
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite: Drive, Sheets, and Documents
  • Excellent interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure and on own initiative
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Physical ability to sit for long periods of time and use monitors/equipment as required
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience as an MTC Teacher or in another MTC capacity
  • Preferred: 1 year of office or administration experience
