About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Product, Operations, Engineering, and Quality Engineering in analyzing, documenting, refining, and delivering business requirements for the CHIPS application
Develop working knowledge of CHIPS business processes, payment flows, application functionality, system interfaces, and operational workflows
Work with Product Owners and business stakeholders to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are clear, complete, testable, and traceable
Partner with Engineering and Quality Engineering to identify application impacts, dependencies, and requirement gaps throughout the software development lifecycle
Gather, analyze, document, and refine business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting process flows
Assess potential impacts of proposed changes and identify dependencies or requirement gaps
Participate in Agile activities supporting development and testing
Maintain requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation in Jira and other approved repositories
Assist with maintaining system and process documentation for application knowledge and audit, risk, regulatory, and control activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
2-6 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, technology, financial services, payments, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex business applications, workflows, interfaces, data flows, and processing concepts
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to elicit, analyze, document, and refine business and functional requirements into well-defined user stories with clear and testable business acceptance criteria
Ability and willingness to work in an Agile software development environment
Internship, academic, or professional experience within financial services, banking, payments, financial technology, or another technology-focused environment is desired
Familiarity with wire transfers, payment processing, CHIPS, Fedwire, or other banking/payment systems is desired
Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence is desired
Familiarity with financial messaging concepts or standards such as ISO 20022 is a plus
Experience using AI-enabled tools is a plus
