Key responsibilities & impact

Develop high-quality client-facing deliverables according to established project quality standards and solution-based products
Collaborate with team members to finalize deliverables
Support the design, coordination, and logistics of external and internal meetings
Apply active listening skills and own knowledge capture responsibilities during meetings
Occasionally co-facilitate meetings
Support and/or lead research, data gathering, and analysis to inform client recommendations and solutions
Synthesize and present research and analysis results clearly
Evaluate client needs, make initial recommendations, and partner with team members to refine approaches to client challenges
Support business development efforts through proposal preparation
Develop and maintain institutional knowledge of clients, their culture, organization, and issues
Learn and apply The Clearing’s consulting methodologies, techniques, and tools

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of one year of professional work experience, preferably in a professional services or client-facing environment
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation creation tools, and internet research tools
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite is a plus
Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance and/or a positive suitability determination by completing necessary background check investigations
Willingness and ability to travel to client sites in the surrounding DC and Baltimore metro areas; occasional travel outside of these regions could be expected (5%)
Critical thinking/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills
Flexible and adaptable mindset to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-stakes client environments
Desired experience in change management, strategic planning, strategic communication, program management, and/or organizational design
PMP and/or Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci) desired
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
