About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of federal, state, local government, and commercial contracts and related agreements
  • Review, draft, negotiate, execute, administer, modify, renew, and close out contracts and agreements
  • Support proposal and capture activities, including solicitation requirements, representations, certifications, and terms and conditions
  • Lead contract kickoff and closeout activities
  • Translate contract requirements and funding information into project setup documentation and internal systems, including Costpoint
  • Monitor compliance with FAR, DFARS, subcontracting requirements, company policies, customer directives, and other government contracting standards
  • Identify contractual risks, Organizational Conflicts of Interest, compliance concerns, and performance issues
  • Develop mitigation strategies and recommend corrective actions
  • Serve as a primary contact for government contracting officers, client representatives, prime contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Resolve contract issues and advise teams on contractual obligations, deliverables, funding limitations, reporting requirements, and compliance expectations
  • Coordinate annual compliance training and maintain completion records for audit readiness
  • Collaborate with business development, proposal, finance, legal, operations, HR, project control, consulting, and executive teams
  • Provide strategic guidance on contract interpretation, risk management, operational processes, and program performance
  • Maintain contract files, databases, representations, and internal business systems
  • Manage contract compliance and reporting obligations, including TDR and IFF reporting, sales tracking, and audit support
  • Develop and improve contract management policies, procedures, templates, controls, and best practices
  • Establish and track contract management metrics and KPIs
  • Generate reports, analyses, and leadership updates on contract status, compliance, performance, and organizational risk
  • Manage subcontract administration throughout the subcontract lifecycle
  • Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontracts and related agreements
  • Coordinate subcontractor communications, issue resolution, modifications, renewals, and closeout documentation
  • Lead pricing proposal and price-volume development for government and commercial contracts
  • Prepare pricing documentation, spreadsheets, BOEs, rate validations, price narratives, and supporting analyses
  • Coordinate with finance, program management, business development, subcontractors, and vendors on pricing inputs
  • Support pricing reviews, fact-finding activities, customer negotiations, contract modifications, and change orders
  • Maintain pricing files, historical cost data, and proposal records

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Finance, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in federal government contract management and administration
  • NCMA certification (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, CCCM) preferred
  • Experience managing the full lifecycle of federal contracts and subcontracts
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, subcontract management, contract types, and government procurement regulations
  • Experience supporting federal proposal and capture efforts
  • Ability to identify contractual, operational, and compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Experience supporting OCI identification, analysis, and mitigation
  • Ability to interpret complex contractual language and communicate requirements, risks, and business impacts
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Experience supporting pricing development, price proposals, and contract modifications
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and applicable pricing and cost principles
  • Experience preparing and analyzing pricing spreadsheets, BOEs, and proposal documentation
  • Knowledge of GSA Schedules, T&M, FFP, and other government contract pricing structures preferred
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with business development, finance, legal, operations, project control, HR, and executive leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and improve processes, policies, templates, and operational procedures
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism and accountability
  • Proficiency in contract management software and tools
  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance and/or positive suitability determination if applicable
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to use computers and office equipment
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to use judgment, withstand moderate stress, and maintain attention to detail
