About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee fixed asset processes for the Domestic Product Supply Organization and LATAM countries
- Ensure all Capex projects are capitalized correctly, in the appropriate period, and in compliance with the Fixed Assets Corporate Policy
- Supervise and manage a team of three direct reports
- Perform monthly close activities, including capitalization reviews, Capex IO settlement runs, depreciation runs, fixed asset reserve journal entries, and GL reconciliation reviews
- Perform quarterly close activities, including Total Company Fixed Assets roll-forward and analytics
- Support Consolidations Accounting with cash flow requirements related to PP&E
- Deliver quarterly and annual Fixed Assets PBC requests and support or clarify matters for external auditors
- Coordinate and perform annual physical inventory for Domestic and LATAM entities
- Perform Total Company Asset Retirement Obligation processes based on Clorox Corporate Procedures
- Identify and implement efficiencies in Fixed Asset Accounting activities through special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- +5 years of experience in an accounting and finance organization; mix of public accounting and private industry preferred
- Advanced English level (Mandatory)
- Strong people management experience
- Strong attention to detail resulting in consistently reliable, accurate and thorough work
- Strong planning and organization skills with ability to prioritize
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and work effectively in a team environment
- Solid knowledge of accounting policies, US GAAP and financial statements
- SAP S4 Hana, or other ERP systems experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel and BI
