About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global category strategy for Printing & Specialty procurement
  • Manage worldwide procurement strategies across $350 million of spend and 125 suppliers
  • Oversee categories including corrugate shippers, displays, litho laminated boxes, folding cartons, labels, shrink sleeves, and paper bags
  • Identify market trends, supplier capabilities, competitive dynamics, and innovation opportunities
  • Establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers
  • Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, analytics, and decision support tools across Procurement operations
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure supply continuity, optimize cost, and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct annual performance reviews with strategic suppliers
  • Lead cost management, strategic sourcing, value engineering, supplier negotiations, and annual savings initiatives
  • Manage and optimize category spend while maintaining quality and sustainability goals
  • Track performance against budget targets and proactively mitigate risks with Finance and Business Unit teams
  • Collaborate with R&D, packaging, marketing, manufacturing, and sustainability teams
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders
  • Lead a team of three direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience managing packaging procurement categories within a CPG or manufacturing environment
  • Experience applying AI tools, automation tooling, analytics, or decision support solutions to improve operational workflows and internal service delivery
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of driving cost savings and value through strategic sourcing and supplier management
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk management principles, including supplier risk assessment, market intelligence, and scenario planning
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (SAP, Ariba, or similar systems)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of sustainable sourcing practices and experience implementing initiatives that drive environmental and social impact
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and a diverse product portfolio
  • Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in procurement processes and supplier relationships
