About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop forward-looking shopper and category points of view for Clorox and Amazon
  • Uncover Amazon shopper behaviors, motivations, missions, and trends influencing purchase decisions across physical and digital commerce
  • Influence category strategy, assortment, pricing, innovation, merchandising, digital commerce, and retailer engagement decisions
  • Integrate shopper research, syndicated data, retailer analytics, digital commerce insights, and market intelligence into business recommendations
  • Identify growth opportunities across categories, brands, shopping missions, and occasions
  • Lead category and shopper learning plans addressing critical business questions
  • Create insight-led stories that simplify complex information and inspire action among internal leaders and Amazon partners
  • Partner with Field Sales, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Retail Media, and Data & Analytics teams
  • Leverage AI-enabled analytics to accelerate insight generation and improve decision-making
  • Shape omnichannel strategies across stores, Amazon.com, pickup, delivery, and digital touchpoints
  • Directly shape Amazon engagements, including AVNs, Category Strategy Reviews, Commercial Plan Reviews, and multi-year planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in Shopper Insights, Consumer Insights, Category Management, Analytics, Customer Insights, or related fields
  • Amazon experience required
  • Experience working with a large retailer is a plus, such as Walmart
  • Emerging platform experience is a plus, such as Instacart or DoorDash
  • Strong foundation in consumer/shopper research and advanced analytics
  • Experience presenting insights and recommendations directly to retail customers and senior business leaders
  • Demonstrated success influencing commercial decisions through insight-driven storytelling
  • Ability to frame business questions, develop learning plans, test hypotheses, and translate findings into action
  • Deep understanding of quantitative, qualitative, syndicated, and behavioral research methodologies
  • Experience developing shopper, category, and path-to-purchase insights that influence commercial strategy
  • Ability to identify and anticipate emerging shopper behaviors, macro trends, and future growth opportunities
  • Experience synthesizing multiple data sources into clear, actionable, growth-driving recommendations
  • Strong storytelling skills and ability to simplify complex analyses for senior leaders and retailer partners
  • Amazon Marketing Cloud and Stackline/Stackline Omni Shopper Analytics platform required, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn retailer-specific analytics platforms
  • Working knowledge and experience with syndicated data, including Circana, NielsenIQ, and Numerator
