About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the Material Planning technology product backlog and translate business requirements into prioritized capabilities, features and solutions
Lead material planning technology capability development involving SAP MRP, SAP S/4HANA and integrated material-planning capabilities
Drive continuous improvement of material planning processes and tools
Identify planning gaps, evaluate root causes, translate needs into technology enhancements, and support solution design, testing, implementation and adoption
Partner with Materials & Scheduling Management, Production Scheduling, IBP/Supply Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing and related Supply Chain functions
Strengthen planning master data and system effectiveness
Establish and monitor measures of material-planning capability and performance
Build enterprise capability and adoption through standards, procedures and learning materials
Partner with the Material Planning Community of Practice
Serve as subject-matter expert and connector between business and technology teams
Communicate product priorities, roadmap, dependencies and releases to stakeholders
Ensure technology development delivers measurable business value

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of demonstrated experience in supply chain planning, material planning, manufacturing planning, or related supply chain operations
BS/BA Degree in Supply Chain or related technical degree, or equivalent work experience
Experience with SAP S/4HANA MRP/material planning
APICS CPIM or CSCP, or comparable supply-chain certification
Continuous-improvement experience such as Lean, Six Sigma or Business Process Management
Strong working knowledge of MRP concepts, including material requirements, inventory, replenishment, lead times and planning parameters
Experience with enterprise planning or ERP technology, translating operational business requirements into system capabilities
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability, including root-cause analysis and data-driven conclusions
Ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority
Strong communication skills for translating complex planning and technology concepts to technical and business audiences
Experience leading process improvement, system enhancement, implementation or other cross-functional initiatives
Experience with advanced planning applications and integrated supply planning environments
Experience supporting product roadmaps, agile delivery, prioritized backlogs, system implementations or technology enhancement programs
Experience in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods
Experience developing planning standards, KPIs, training or capability-development programs
