About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the quarterly close process and assist with preparation of the Company's quarterly Form 10-Q and annual Form 10-K with the SEC
- Prepare and tie out footnote disclosures and coordinate internal deliverables listing and receipt
- Support the Company’s quarterly earnings release process
- Develop relationships and work closely with Finance business partners to provide accounting and business support
- Research and recommend solutions on SEC Reporting issues and support implementation of accounting changes
- Prepare key quarterly deliverables, including rounding sheet, balance sheet analytics and disclosure checklist
- Attend quarterly 10-K and MD&A review meetings with business leaders in functional accounting and corporate finance departments
- Support special projects and other ad hoc tasks as assigned
- Provide support to internal and external audit activities, including providing and coordinating deliverables
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting standards, accounting policies and financial statements, and research skills
- Strong attention to detail resulting in consistently reliable, accurate and thorough work product
- Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, as well as business writing skills
- Strong project management skills, including ability to work effectively in teams and influence and lead cross-functional projects
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively with strong planning and task organizational skills
- Flexible, adaptable and proactive
- Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office suite, primarily Word and Excel
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements, as well as proactively creating opportunities for improvement
- Wdesk (SEC filing tool by Workiva), SAP or other ERP systems experience preferred
- Big 4 or public accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Actively licensed CPA, preferred
