About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and verify tasks and time allotments for maintenance work orders
- Follow up on work quality and completion through field visits and communication with clients, technicians, crew leads, and supervisors
- Prepare weekly schedules for each technician showing daily planned work orders and other planned activities or absences
- Update frequencies of predictive and preventive maintenance work orders
- Coordinate equipment outages with clients
- Plan and schedule acquisition and allocation of resources and materials for nonreactive maintenance work
- Receive work assignments, update work orders, and fulfill time-reporting and work-management requirements
- Maintain contact with a supervisor and report to work as scheduled during extraordinary or emergency situations
- Operate applicable hand and power tools, meters, gauges, and other trade tools as needed
- Provide direct customer contact
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school graduation or GED
- Seven to nine years of experience in facilities maintenance
- Experience with maintenance of building structures and related HVAC equipment
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship
- Criminal background check required for finalist(s)
- Required to operate an iPhone, iPad, or laptop/desktop computer for time reporting and work management
- May be required to work in confined spaces, manholes, tunnels, elevated work, and extended shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- May require tuberculosis screening and occasional use of a respirator
- If driving University vehicles, must maintain an acceptable driver rating
- Resume/CV required
- Three work references with contact information, including at least one supervisor reference
