About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive packages delivered to the department and notify recipients in a timely manner
  • Assist ChE faculty, staff and researchers with outgoing shipments
  • Sort incoming mail
  • Scan inventory tags for department-owned equipment
  • Assist with scanning, filing, and general organizational tasks
  • Work on campus in the CPE building during normal business hours, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time at UT Austin as an undergraduate student
  • Good academic standing
  • Demonstrate communication skills, helpful attitude and professionalism
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Customer service mindset
  • Shipping and receiving experience
  • Resume/CV
  • 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor
  • Letter of interest
  • Must complete federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form if hired
  • Must present acceptable and original documents to prove identity and authorization to work in the United States
  • Criminal history background check required for finalists
