• Register and report as a lobbyist where required and keep lobbying activity logged.
• Own the endorsement process from start to finish, including the calendar, candidate questionnaire, interviews, scoring, and recommendations.
• Ground endorsement criteria in BlackPrint findings and TEA issue priorities; involve members and community leaders.
• Staff the endorsement committee and present recommendations for decision.
• Maintain questionnaires, scores, votes, and conflict-of-interest disclosures.
• Coordinate endorsement announcements with Communications and field implications with the Director of Power Building.
• Maintain relationships with endorsed candidates after election day and track their actions in office.
• Ensure endorsement work occurs only in the 501(c)(4) and PACs, never in the 501(c)(3), with matching time tracking.
• In year one, ensure written advocacy-team work plans, a documented endorsement process, resident testimony in each region, measurable progress on each issue, and audit-ready lobbying and time records.
