About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the FDR budget by tracking expenditures, reviewing approved allocations, and providing financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting
  • Administer accounts payable, expense documentation, Ministry Partnership Agreements, short-term fund requests, vendor and contractor onboarding, and related financial documentation
  • Perform reconciliations for accounts, field expenses, PEX cards, cash advances, and other financial records
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, documentation practices, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Foursquare policies, IRS requirements, and established financial procedures; support audits as needed
  • Prepare timely financial and operational reports, including monthly, quarterly, annual, and incident-specific updates
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends and risks, assess program effectiveness and resource allocation, and recommend actions
  • Provide financial analysis for forecasting response operations, recovery projects, and seasonal readiness
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, reporting tools, and standardized templates
  • Identify, apply for, and support grant application development
  • Track grant budgets, spending, deadlines, restrictions, deliverables, and closeout requirements
  • Support donor gift-in-kind allocation and donor development through reporting and analysis in Salesforce and other internal systems
  • Track and report field deliverable metrics such as meals served, individuals assisted, and supplies distributed
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, holidays, and vacation coverage, to support active disaster response operations
  • Collaborate across Foursquare Disaster Relief and One team to improve workflows, stewardship, and reporting practices
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisory team leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, financial operations, or reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, reporting, compliance, internal controls, reconciliation, and financial analysis
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel), including collaboration applications such as Teams
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and adaptability in fast-paced disaster response environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to servant leadership, collaboration, and the mission of Foursquare Disaster Relief
  • Ability to work remotely effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel as requested
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods; exhibit manual dexterity; see and read computer screens and printed material; hear and understand speech; follow oral and written instructions; and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred
