About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Advance Hanover's HR compliance governance program
  • Coordinate review of regulatory changes with impacted HR functions and Legal
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions to clarify ownership, responsibilities, and implementation plans
  • Support development and distribution of compliance guidance, communications, and resources
  • Monitor HR compliance training requirements, ownership, and completion
  • Track implementation activities, milestones, and outstanding actions
  • Manage HR compliance vendor relationships and external resources
  • Monitor regulatory developments and identify impacts across HR functions
  • Administer Employee Relations-owned compliance programs and reporting requirements
  • Review, update, and maintain HR policies, standards, and documentation
  • Maintain the HR compliance inventory, including requirements, ownership, controls, and governance documentation
  • Monitor compliance obligations, implementation status, and emerging risks; identify and escalate gaps
  • Facilitate compliance reviews and track priorities and action items
  • Prepare dashboards, scorecards, and compliance reporting for HR leadership
  • Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, enterprise risk reviews, and compliance assessments
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance tracking, reporting, and operational effectiveness
  • Support simplification or automation of compliance-related activities
  • Maintain compliance tools, templates, and supporting resources

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of diverse Human Resources, Compliance, HR Operations, Employee Relations, Payroll, Benefits, HR Technology, or related experience
  • Experience coordinating projects, programs, or compliance-related activities involving multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment within established guidelines
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it clearly to varied audiences
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and reporting tools
  • Working knowledge of HR processes, programs, and compliance requirements across multiple HR disciplines
  • Ability to maintain sound judgment and attention to detail under pressure
  • Candidates must reside within the New England region and be able to travel to the Worcester office as needed
  • Preferred: experience supporting employment, labor, payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, or HR compliance programs
  • Preferred: experience coordinating audits, governance activities, risk assessments, or compliance reviews
  • Preferred: experience with compliance tracking tools, reporting systems, or governance platforms
  • Preferred: experience managing vendor relationships and supporting technology implementation
  • Preferred: experience partnering with Legal, Employee Relations, HR Shared Services, and HR Centers of Excellence
