About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and govern end-to-end solution architecture for large-scale P&C insurance platforms and digital initiatives
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions
  • Develop architecture roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives
  • Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical governance processes
  • Provide technology leadership throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Design solutions supporting policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, agency/broker portals, customer self-service platforms, rating and pricing, and regulatory/compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with business leaders to modernize legacy insurance applications and integrate third-party insurance platforms
  • Architect customer-facing web and mobile applications
  • Design omnichannel experiences integrating portals, mobile apps, CRM platforms, and contact centers
  • Ensure high availability, security, performance, and scalability across customer-facing solutions
  • Lead adoption of cloud-native architectures on Microsoft Azure
  • Define containerization and deployment strategies using Kubernetes
  • Evaluate and implement Generative AI use cases including intelligent customer service, claims automation, knowledge assistants, underwriting support, and document processing and summarization
  • Drive integration strategies leveraging APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in Solution Architecture roles
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry experience required
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (Lawful Permanent Resident or US Citizen)
  • Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Experience working with distributed Agile teams
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java-based Full Stack Development
  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and React, Angular, or modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Extensive experience with workflow and BPM platforms such as Pega
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Experience with API-led architecture, Enterprise Integration Patterns, event-driven architecture, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or Azure Service Bus
  • Experience architecting and delivering mobile applications, customer self-service portals, agent/broker portals, and digital claims and policy servicing platforms
  • Experience implementing Generative AI solutions using LLM-based applications, RAG, AI-powered chatbots and assistants, and intelligent document processing
  • P&C insurance platform experience such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar
  • Experience with domain-driven design (DDD)
  • Azure certifications and cloud architecture certifications
  • Experience with data and analytics platforms supporting insurance operations
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements within the insurance industry
