About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead day-to-day agile product execution for one or more agile teams supporting Data Modernization initiatives
- Translate data product vision and modernization objectives into sprint goals, prioritized stories, and measurable outcomes
- Manage the data product backlog
- Break down features into user stories with acceptance criteria and definition of done
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to define and deliver cloud-based data products and capabilities
- Identify and prioritize opportunities related to data quality, accessibility, usability, and scalability
- Accept completed stories and validate delivered solutions
- Represent the customer, business, and data consumer within agile teams
- Partner with product managers, business leaders, and stakeholders to refine priorities and roadmap objectives
- Define data product requirements, success measures, and adoption goals
- Gather feedback from demonstrations and stakeholders
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Architects, Tech Leads, Data Engineers, Analysts, SMEs, and business partners
- Facilitate alignment on data definitions, ownership, business context, and expected outcomes
- Cascade updates and decisions to teams and stakeholders
- Create and maintain product documentation, business definitions, and requirements with the Data Steward
- Support business readiness, change management, adoption, and stakeholder understanding of delivered data products
- Monitor delivery metrics, product outcomes, and team health
- Keep the team aligned to OKRs, modernization objectives, and value stream goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in a product owner, business analyst, digital, technology, or related role
- Experience supporting data-focused initiatives, reporting, analytics, or modernization programs is beneficial but not required
- Analytical mindset with comfort using data to inform decisions and validate outcomes
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP)
- Familiarity with JIRA, Rally, and Microsoft products
- Foundational understanding of data flows, data products, analytics, reporting, and cloud-based data platforms
- Exposure to Snowflake, business intelligence platforms, or cloud ecosystems is helpful, but deep technical expertise is not required
- Growth mindset, curiosity, and passion for solving business problems through data and technology
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
- Strong partnership and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates near an office are expected to work in an office 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday
- Candidates not near an office have a remote arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise
