  • Investigate Long-Term Disability claims to determine whether insured persons qualify for LTD benefits
  • Monitor claims for ongoing eligibility
  • Support customers rebuilding their lives after unexpected events or illness
  • Follow corporate claim standards, policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements
  • Obtain information from claimants, employers, and medical providers
  • Analyze medical and financial information to determine benefit eligibility
  • Provide exceptional customer service through professional written and verbal communication
  • Meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Help create a positive and inclusive team environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of experience providing quality customer service is required
  • 1+ years of claims experience is a plus
  • Experience with medical terminology is a plus
  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a high-level of quality and accuracy while meeting productivity targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to thrive in a structured team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
  • Successfully complete a multi-week New Hire Training Course as a condition of employment
