About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide accurate information via inbound/outbound phone calls and email communications
  • Conduct outbound calls to patients and caregivers to schedule, confirm, and follow up on medical appointments
  • Manage inbound calls related to appointment coordination and patient support
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate medical appointments based on patient and caregiver needs
  • Answer questions regarding appointment details, availability, timing, and related information
  • Provide updates regarding test result availability and expected turnaround times, when applicable
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, appointments, and communications
  • Perform administrative and customer service support tasks as needed
  • Deliver professional and high-quality customer service to ensure patient and caregiver satisfaction
  • Verify insurance eligibility, billing, and prior authorizations
  • Handle DME and DME insurance processes
  • Support operations in Urgent Care, medical office, DME, or similar healthcare settings
  • Review insurance benefits, coverage, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance
  • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient level of English (written and spoken)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with clients, vendors, and teammates
  • Experience with insurance eligibility verification, insurance billing, and prior authorizations is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and DME insurance processes
  • Experience working in Urgent Care, a medical office, DME, or a similar healthcare environment is preferred
  • Strong understanding of insurance benefits, coverage, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance is preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance portals, EMR/EHR systems, and billing or authorization platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Resourceful, accountable, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, highly adaptable, reliable, self-motivated, and confident
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage daily operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
