About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell and ensure best-in-class merchandising of Hershey products
- Build displays, increase distribution of top-selling items, and replenish permanent secondary displays
- Execute sales priorities and support retail strategy within an assigned territory
- Visit approximately 6–10+ store accounts per day
- Sell and maintain 100% distribution of authorized Hershey items
- Execute Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans across retailers
- Achieve merchandising objectives through permanent secondary displays and other display vehicles
- Develop store-call strategies aligned with store, regional, and retailer objectives
- Use consultative selling, influence, negotiation, and problem-solving techniques
- Partner with store leadership, internal teams, and peers
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and administrative activities
- Report daily activities via tablet after each workday
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must reside or be willing to commute within the listed territory boundaries/eligible ZIP codes
- Valid US state-issued driver’s license
- Personal vehicle in sound operating condition
- Personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use
- Ability to drive long distances and make multiple daily sales calls
- Ability to lift 10–40 lbs. regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to use tablet technology
- Daily access to wireless internet
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage
- Availability to work 20–25 hours per week
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3–4 years of food merchandising experience preferred but not required
