Part-Time Territory Sales Associate

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell and ensure best-in-class merchandising of Hershey products in an assigned territory
- Build displays, increase distribution of top-selling items, and replenish permanent secondary displays
- Visit approximately 6–10+ retail accounts per day
- Execute sales priorities and support retail strategy
- Use consultative selling to interpret store and retailer priorities and influence solutions
- Develop and execute store-call strategies aligned with store, regional, and retailer objectives
- Apply sales, influence, and negotiation techniques to secure opportunities and commitments
- Lead problem-solving efforts and evaluate alternative solutions
- Maintain 100% distribution of authorized Hershey items
- Execute headquarters sales and merchandising plans with various retailers
- Achieve merchandising objectives through permanent secondary displays and other display vehicles
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and administrative activities
- Submit daily activity reports using tablets
- Partner with store leadership, internal teams, and peers to implement strategies and solve problems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a valid US state-issued driver’s license
- Must have a personal vehicle in sound operating condition
- Must maintain personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use
- Must reside or be willing to commute within the listed territory boundaries
- Must be able to drive long distances and make multiple daily sales calls
- Must be able to lift 10–40 lbs. regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop down, and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to use tablet technology
- Must have daily access to wireless internet
- Must have flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage
- Availability to work 20–25 hours per week
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3–4 years food merchandising experience preferred but not required
