Part-Time Territory Sales Associate

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell and ensure best-in-class merchandising of Hershey products
- Build displays, increase distribution of top-selling items, and replenish permanent secondary displays
- Execute sales priorities and support retail strategy within an assigned territory
- Utilize consultative selling to interpret store and retailer priorities and influence solutions
- Develop and execute retail priorities before each store call
- Apply sales strategies, influence, and negotiation techniques to secure additional opportunities or commitments
- Lead problem-solving efforts and implement effective solutions
- Sell and maintain 100% distribution of authorized Hershey items
- Execute Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans with various retailers
- Achieve merchandising objectives through permanent secondary displays and other display vehicles
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and administrative functions
- Report daily activities using tablets after each day
- Visit approximately 6–10+ accounts per day and travel to assigned store locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a valid US state-issued driver's license
- Must have a personal vehicle in sound operating condition
- Must maintain personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use
- Must reside or be willing to commute within the territory boundaries listed in the job description
- Must be able to drive long distances and make multiple sales calls daily
- Must be able to lift 10–40 lbs. regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop down, and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to use tablet technology
- Must have daily access to wireless internet
- Must have flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage
- Availability to work 20–25 hours per week
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3–4 years of food merchandising experience preferred but not required
