About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the SEND Reform communications and engagement strategy across the local area partnership
- Develop and deliver communications plans and campaigns promoting consistent messaging
- Drive engagement and co-production with children and young people, families, education, health and social care partners, and voluntary and community organisations
- Create accessible and inclusive content for websites, social media, presentations, reports, events and promotional materials
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships and encourage collaboration
- Raise awareness and ensure partners understand their role in delivering SEND Reform
- Monitor and evaluate communications and engagement activity
- Use feedback and insight to measure impact, identify emerging issues and drive continuous improvement
- Support transformational change improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Suffolk
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent communication and content creation skills across digital platforms, social media, reports, presentations and campaigns
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Experience planning and delivering communications and engagement campaigns, including events, websites and social media activity
- Understanding of co-production and inclusive engagement
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders and budgets
- Proactive, creative and adaptable approach
- Knowledge of SEND, children’s services or public sector partnership working advantageous
- Experience within complex transformation or change programmes advantageous
- Relevant posts may require DBS checks or police vetting
- Ability to produce a supporting statement answering the required application questions
