About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate SEND boards and committees, ensuring accurate, high-quality papers are prepared and circulated on time.
  • Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes and maintain clear records of decisions and actions.
  • Support SEND projects, inspections and monitoring visits by coordinating activity, maintaining project documentation and flagging emerging issues.
  • Produce, format and quality-assure governance reports, presentations and other key documents.
  • Coordinate partnership communications and help keep Suffolk Local Offer information accurate and up to date.
  • Work across education, health, social care and partner organisations to support the SEND Reform Programme.
  • Provide programme governance, performance insight, stakeholder engagement and delivery support.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads, manage diaries and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience of preparing professional documents, reports, presentations and correspondence.
  • Accurate minute-taking, record-keeping and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, solve problems and remain calm and resilient when priorities change.
  • Experience of building effective relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues, senior leaders and external partner organisations.
  • Supporting statement required; supporting documents must be in PDF or MS Word format.
  • DBS checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts.
