About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and participate in quality assurance evaluative work and reviews across the system, including Family Help
  • Gather and analyse feedback and identify areas for development
  • Develop and implement Group Supervision across all services
  • Support and embed Family Group Decision Making
  • Engage with children, young people, families, and professionals so their experiences inform quality assurance activities
  • Provide expert guidance, support, and constructive challenge to colleagues and partners
  • Design and facilitate development workshops, reflective sessions, and coaching opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to share best practice and foster multi-agency working
  • Prepare and present analytical reports on service quality, highlighting strengths and recommending improvements
  • Monitor legislative and policy developments to ensure current and compliant practice
  • Support safeguarding and risk management focused on the welfare of children and young people
  • Manage workload autonomously, respond flexibly to emerging priorities, and contribute to service improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Suitable professional qualification at postgraduate level and equivalent experience in a relevant area of work
  • Experience in quality assurance work in Children and Young People’s Services, and/or transferable experience from another sector
  • Management and leadership experience and/or qualification (desirable)
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory frameworks
  • Analytical/forensic approach to work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work at pace within agreed timescales
  • Effective ICT skills, internet use, and digital communication methods
  • Awareness of local and national research and frameworks
  • DBS checks or police vetting required for relevant posts
