About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver Home Fire Safety Visits to at-risk adults and families in their homes
- Provide tailored fire safety advice
- Collaborate with partner agencies on health, wellbeing, and safeguarding concerns
- Address vulnerabilities including hoarding, domestic violence, and enhanced care needs
- Attend community events as a speaker or exhibitor
- Promote prevention methods and share fire safety knowledge
- Deliver education to all age groups on road safety, fire safety, water safety, arson reduction, and anti-social behaviour reduction
- Manage and maintain vehicles, safety and education equipment, and IT systems
- Maintain accurate records, stock availability, and equipment security
- Participate in personal development and team meetings
- Contribute to improved policies and multi-agency reporting processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualifications in English and Maths at GCSE level C or equivalent (Essential)
- Strong ability to identify risk, assess individual needs, and apply appropriate tailored solutions
- Confident communication and presentation skills for diverse groups
- Ability to converse effectively with customers and partners and accurately report safety information
- Competent use of IT systems including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of recording processes for vulnerable individuals
- Comprehensive understanding of Community Safety
- Ability to influence, implement, and adapt to change
- Effective problem-solving skills with practical and analytical abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults
- DBS checks or police vetting required for relevant posts
