About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and maintain data models, transformations, and pipelines that turn raw contact center data into trusted metrics and datasets in a cloud-based data warehouse
  • Own metric logic and data quality
  • Partner with operations and enterprise data teams
  • Hold source system owners to quality standards supporting Customer Solutions and Data Science initiatives
  • Implement a real-time streaming data ingestion and processing pipeline using Google Dataflow (Apache Beam)
  • Interface with business intelligence analysts and IT colleagues in whiteboard sessions to discuss data pipeline design, implementation, and testing
  • Maintain data architecture standards and ETL/ELT best practices for a column-oriented data store in an analytic use case
  • Participate actively in the Scrum delivery process
  • Support solutions in production
  • Report to the Senior Manager of EDW

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
  • Minimum 6 years of work experience
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Spark dataframes, SparkSQL, Kafka, KSQL, real-time streaming, and message bus technologies
  • Experience with data science technologies such as SAS, R, Matlab, or similar
  • Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling
  • Experience building real-time streaming data ingestion and processing pipelines using Apache Beam, Google Dataflow, Apache Apex, Flink, Spark, or Kafka
  • Experience with data processing tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Dataflow
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with column-oriented databases such as Redshift, BigQuery, and Vertica
  • Ability to go from whiteboard discussion to code
  • Strong programming ability
  • Experience working directly with subject matter experts in business and technology domains
  • Experience as a team lead
