Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide total financial leadership, direction, and analysis to the functional management team
  • Serve as a member of the strategic leadership team for the function
  • Drive functional metrics, control costs, and work with finance leadership to achieve business goals and create shareholder value
  • Understand the business and identify and implement process and organizational improvements
  • Plan and ensure execution of department objectives

  • Review monthly expenditures and ensure budgetary goals are met
  • Review monthly metrics to ensure goals are met
  • Conduct financial planning for the function and make appropriate recommendations
  • Lead, plan, and coordinate work teams to perform financial functions and activities efficiently
  • Utilize metrics to track performance and manage workload
  • Ensure operational processes and procedures comply with established policies
  • Drive key functional financial metrics
  • Develop and support strategic alliances with business partners
  • Participate in cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing competitive advantage
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication with Finance, Human Resources, Real Estate, Operations, and Information Systems
  • Typically report to a Director-level manager; no direct reports
  • Typically require overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation
  • Project management skills; ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Judgment and decision-making skills, considering relative costs and benefits of potential actions
