About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute The Home Depot's labor relations strategy to ensure a union-free environment across the enterprise, with dedicated focus on Temco locations
  • Manage issues involving protected concerted activity, organized labor, and positive associate relations
  • Support, consult, and provide guidance to management at all organizational levels
  • Design positive associate relations and union-free training, learning programs, and work environment assessment tools
  • Deliver virtual and in-person trainings across Temco
  • Problem solve and provide strategies to field business partners to identify root causes, drive solutions, and limit vulnerability risks
  • Monitor and report on labor-relations case law and regulatory changes
  • Collaborate with field business partners on special projects, training and development, process enhancements, organizational development, communications, and policy implementation
  • Manage union election campaigns under the direction of the Director, Labor Relations
  • Report to the Sr. Director, Labor Relations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
  • Minimum 6 years of work experience
  • Experience in union avoidance initiatives and labor strategy
  • Experience in development and delivery of leadership and employee training in labor issues
  • Experience with NLRB election campaigns, including campaign communications, strategy, persuader advocacy, opposition research, and project management
  • Successful track record working in a large, complex organizational structure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • JD or Master's level degree is preferred
  • Supply Chain and/or distribution experience is preferred
  • Experience with Teamsters and UFCW is preferred
