About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently develop and consistently redesign/refactor products to adapt to customer and associate needs
Create, deploy, and support production applications
Participate in product and tool selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring
Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software
Develop functional, destructive, and other test suites to support rapid code deployment
Collaborate with team members in agile processes
Work with the Product Team to ensure user stories are valuable, developer-ready, understandable, and testable
Help grow junior engineers by providing guidance on modern software development frameworks
Lead technical discussions
Report typically to a Software Engineer Manager or Senior Manager
No direct reports
No travel required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be eighteen years of age or older
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
2-4 years of relevant work experience (preferred qualification)
Experience with front end technology such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript/Typescript frameworks
Experience with an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java
Experience with relational or noSQL database technology
Experience with cloud computing techniques
Experience with CI/CD tools
Experience with modern software design patterns
Experience with security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication
Experience with creating and executing unit, functional, destructive and performance tests
Experience with modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques
Experience with a version control system
Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
Minimum of 3 years of work experience
No leadership experience required
