About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across Housing
  • Lead services including tenancy and estate management, allocations and lettings, voids, income maximisation, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, tenancy sustainment and resident engagement
  • Lead and develop the Housing team
  • Create a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Keep residents at the heart of service design and delivery
  • Use performance information, complaints, feedback and resident insight to improve service quality and resident experience
  • Ensure housing services meet regulatory and statutory requirements, including the Consumer Standards
  • Oversee risk, safeguarding and service performance
  • Contribute to IDS strategic priorities as a member of the Senior Management Team
  • Develop relationships with residents, partners and other stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant senior-level housing management experience
  • Strong understanding of the social housing environment
  • Experienced people leader able to develop and support teams
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
  • Ability to use data, insight and resident feedback to drive improvement
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation, regulation and the Consumer Standards
  • Experience managing budgets, risk and resources effectively
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with residents, colleagues and partners
  • Commitment to Transparent, Respectful, Accountable, Collaborative and Inclusive (TRACI) values
  • Required to meet relevant professional qualification requirements under the Competence and Conduct Standard
