About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery
  • Develop and maintain data models supporting reporting and analytics use cases
  • Contribute to reliable, reusable data products
  • Support onboarding of new data sources
  • Write efficient, scalable SQL queries and contribute to performance optimization
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for reliability, performance, and accuracy
  • Implement and support data quality checks and validation processes
  • Apply established data governance standards within data engineering workflows
  • Document data architecture, pipelines, and workflows
  • Work cross-functionally with business and technology teams to deliver timely, high-quality data
  • Contribute to DataOps processes and data engineering standards and best practices
  • Assist in evaluating new tools and technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python or a similar language
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
  • Hands-on experience with at least one modern data platform or tool, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, dbt, or Airflow
  • Experience with or exposure to the AWS technology stack, including AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Aurora MySQL
  • Experience with or exposure to Spark
  • Experience debugging data issues and working with production data pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to demonstrate LHW’s performance drivers: Accountability, Adaptability, Collaboration, Curiosity, and Empathy
