About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with regional agronomists and local staff to identify trial sites, evaluate below- and above-ground plant characteristics, and capture pictures or video images of processes and results
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of electronic records for test sites and treatments
  • Assist in field plot research functions, pursuing and capturing detailed field information for Mosaic Biosciences North America
  • Support other efforts, including some engagement with accounts in a sales setting
  • Travel occasionally overnight to other locations for data collection and services responsibilities
  • Communicate with personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers, tradespersons, and contractors
  • Participate in department and project-specific meetings
  • Adhere to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles, priorities, and key competencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Sophomore level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Ag business, Ag Education, Agronomy or related field
  • 2.75 GPA
  • 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
  • Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Experience working in a team environment is a must
  • Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
  • Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
  • Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job without posing a direct threat to the safety of his or her own self, or the safety of others
  • Able to lift approximately 0-25 lbs. occasionally
  • Able to climb stairs and work at various heights
  • Able to distinguish varying or specific colors, patterns or materials
  • Able to hear, with or without correction
  • Able to read, write and understand basic English
  • Able to see, with or without correction
  • Able to use fine hand motor skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
