About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Continuously monitor the global agricultural technology landscape to identify emerging innovations aligned with business strategy
- Conduct agronomic and economic assessments of potential technologies
- Collaborate with agronomy, R&D, regulatory, commercial, and legal teams to evaluate scalability, regulatory feasibility, economic impact, risks, IP, and strategic fit
- Initiate and cultivate relationships with universities, startups, research institutions, multinational companies, licensors, and licensees
- Represent the company in exploratory discussions and early-stage negotiations
- Support technical and business due diligence
- Act as primary liaison for existing licensors
- Lead cross-functional implementation teams integrating licensed technologies into the company pipeline
- Track milestones, manage timelines, and address project challenges
- Monitor licensing agreement compliance, reporting requirements, milestone payments, and intellectual property obligations
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness
- Identify proprietary innovations for external licensing
- Define value propositions and market positioning for out-licensing
- Support technology transfer, ongoing collaboration, feedback, and issue resolution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Biotechnology, Business, or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- 7+ years in licensing, business development, or technology scouting within agriculture or life sciences
- 10+ years in agricultural business development preferred

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
