About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Save photos and videos in the TNC Peru photo archive and keep it organized
- Sort and distribute mailing for the TNC Peru Newsletter and other communications pieces
- Provide photographic and audiovisual coverage of events
- Generate simple posts and videos for TNC Peru's social networks under supervision
- Develop simple communication pieces such as flyers, merchandising pieces, one-pagers, and short videos using digital tools
- Follow up with communications vendors, contracts, payments, and other matters
- Maintain updated digital and physical communications files
- Support internal communications, including newsletters and emails
- Support event logistics as needed
- Process invoices, prepare accounting forms, make purchases, and create travel expense reports
- Provide communications support to the Marketing Area of the Business Unit
- Report to Peru’s Communications Specialist
- Interact frequently with staff across Business Unit programs, other Conservancy offices, and vendors
- Help plan and direct volunteer or intern work when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related fields plus 1-year experience or equivalent combination
- Experience with Communications programs under the Adobe Creative Cloud license
- Experience with relevant technology such as Office and Microsoft Suite for communications, constructing reports, and managing calendars
- Experience managing diverse activities to meet deadlines
- Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people
- Experience writing, editing, and proofreading written materials
- Work experience is not necessary, but professional internship experience will be valued
- A portfolio of audiovisual works developed during internships or in an academic context is valued
- Proficiency in English
- Must reside in Lima, Peru
- Available to travel to different regions of Peru
- Successful applicant must meet The Nature Conservancy's background screening requirements
