About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer the Bridge learning management system by assigning and enrolling courses, tracking completions, running reports, and maintaining accurate learning records
- Coordinate training session and onboarding logistics, including scheduling, registration, communications, materials, and room or virtual setup
- Coordinate and co-facilitate Welcome Day onboarding sessions and other workshops
- Format, update, and proofread e-learning modules and training materials using instructional design methodology
- Support learning initiative project teams by scheduling meetings, taking notes, collecting SME input, and tracking action items and deadlines
- Compile participant feedback and completion data and prepare draft reports
- Respond to routine staff inquiries about training and course access and route training requests
- Maintain the training calendar, shared files, and program documentation
- Complete role onboarding and compliance training
- Learn and administer the Bridge LMS, including course assignments, enrollment, completion tracking, and standard reporting
- Prepare facilitation materials and handouts for training sessions
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of combined experience, including internship, student employment, fellowship, or volunteer experience, in training, teaching, tutoring, instructional support, program or event coordination, or administrative support
- Experience creating instructional or informational materials for an audience
- Exposure to a learning management system, e-learning authoring tool, or comparable platform
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Public speaking and facilitation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to use Excel or Sheets to enter, sort, filter, and summarize data
- Aptitude for learning new software quickly, including learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion
- Collaboration skills
- Working knowledge of generative AI tools and their application to content development
- Ability to lift and/or move training materials and equipment up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to travel between NYPL locations across the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island
- No direct or indirect reports and no supervisory responsibility

Comp & perks- Hybrid work schedule
- 3 days onsite per week, including Tuesday and Thursday anchor days
- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
