About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the entire shipping process for picked and ready-to-pack orders
- Assist the department supervisor with daily planning and guide direct staff members
- Handle department demands, deadlines, administrative duties, troubleshooting and problem solving
- Ensure team members follow proper procedures and enforce good safety practices
- Achieve department productivity and quality goals
- Assist with training and follow-up of new team members
- Maintain cross-functional and interdepartmental communication
- Direct and oversee Internet picking, sorting, packing and processing to meet customer deadlines
- Assist picking supervisors in navigating and prioritizing orders
- Monitor systems and emails to ensure customer satisfaction
- Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards
- Secure and transfer cash or other assets
- Maintain and promote workplace safety
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10–50 lbs. and occasionally lift/move objects up to 100 lbs.
- Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach
- Occasionally sit and climb ladders and/or stairs or balance
- Ability to work in narrow aisles or passageways
- Required close, distance, color, peripheral and depth vision, and ability to adjust and focus
- Time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and with staff members and supervisors
- Open availability; flexible to work various shifts and overtime
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
- 1–2 years warehouse experience preferred
