About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a guardian of The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards and positive role model
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned shipboard positions, including intake, sourcing, screening, structured interviews, reference evaluation, and offers
  • Deliver a timely, warm, and honest candidate experience at every touchpoint
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines through hospitality and maritime schools, job fairs, referral programs, and direct sourcing
  • Screen candidates for seafarer eligibility, including medical fitness, certification prerequisites, and visa eligibility
  • Maintain complete, accurate, current, and reportable candidate records in the applicant tracking system
  • Meet or exceed targets for time to hire, pipeline coverage, and quality of hire
  • Contribute to establishing departmental baselines
  • Partner with TDS Coordinators to hand selected candidates into documentation and onboarding
  • Represent the Company at recruitment events, including domestic and occasional international travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Preferably experience in cruise, maritime, hospitality, or another high-volume, service-driven industry
  • Demonstrated sourcing capability across direct outreach, schools, and referral programs
  • Familiarity with seafarer hiring requirements, including medical, certification, and visa prerequisites preferred
  • Willingness to develop working knowledge of STCW and MLC 2006 requirements affecting selection required
  • Experience working in a diverse and multi-cultural environment required
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to manage a high requisition load in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and standard office software
  • Ability to communicate in English to understand and interpret written procedures and give and receive written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform sustained computer work
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds
  • Ability to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills while embarked and move safely about a vessel at sea
