About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a network of retail stores across North Brisbane
- Inspire, coach, and develop Store Managers, paid staff, and volunteers
- Collaborate with the Regional Manager to align area performance with national strategy
- Lead area performance against sales, surplus, safety, service, and eCommerce KPIs
- Champion operational excellence, merchandising standards, and a safety-first culture
- Analyse business reports to drive commercial and social results
- Manage new store openings, refurbishments, and store transitions
- Recruit and retain volunteers and employees across all locations
- Support Salvos Stores, whose retail sales fund The Salvation Army’s life-changing programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated success in multi-site retail management
- Excellent people leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams through change
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence with business reporting
- Hands-on approach and a heart for community impact
- Alignment with the mission and values: integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity
- Diploma in Retail, Business or Management (desirable)
- Valid driver’s licence (essential)
- Current CV and cover letter detailing alignment with the essential requirements
- Mandatory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Working with Children Check required for child-facing roles
